What we do
Mission-critical machined components for weapon systems and ammunition. Approximately 1,000 different references produced every year in Eupen.
For whom?
Defence OEMs and prime contractors in Europe, the United States and the United Kingdom. For their most demanding programmes.
How?
As a trusted long-term partner. From the industrialisation of your drawings to the delivery of assembled sub-assemblies. All under one roof, in Eupen, since 1948.
Our clients are not looking for a subcontractor. They are looking for a partner capable of sustaining their defence commitments over the long term. Mustad brings together what few European workshops can offer combined.
NATO registered supplier, qualified for OEM and prime contractor programmes.
NCAGE code BTS84 publicly verifiable. Direct industrial relationships with defence prime contractors in Europe, the United Kingdom and North America.
Four generations in the same trade. A stability that defence programmes value above all.
Founded in 1948, Mustad Belgium is a family-owned company whose continuity is a guarantee in itself. Our clients never have to worry about changing partners mid-programme.

From framework agreements to on-demand call-off, Mustad Belgium's production organisation ensures your components are available when you need them — with full traceability guaranteed at every step.
80 machines. 8,450 m². 24/7 operations.
The Mustad workshop never stops. Continuous production capacity that guarantees on-time delivery, even on the most demanding programmes.

Feasibility
Send us your drawings. Within 48 hours, you receive a first technical assessment. Mustad analyses the feasibility of your components upon receipt of your CAD files. Lead times, materials, critical tolerances — our technical team responds before any commitment.

Co-engineering
Your drawings are a starting point, not a constraint. Our engineers optimise tolerances, propose material alternatives and validate technical feasibility before the first part is made. This step prevents cost overruns and downstream delays.

Series production
From validated prototype to large-scale production. Same workshop, same point of contact. Mustad manages the entire production cycle in-house, from the first prototype to series of several million parts. Uninterrupted flow, through to sub-assembly.

Proprietary products
Mustad also designs its own products. The Universal Sight Mount .50 cal, a sighting support designed and produced in-house for heavy machine guns, demonstrates our ability to go from concept to finished product.

Yes. Mustad regularly supplies defence OEMs in the United States and the United Kingdom, in full compliance with applicable defence export regulations.
The European Union is progressively phasing out lead-containing materials, which will impact brass components.
Machining lead-free brass presents several technical challenges compared to conventional leaded brass, particularly in terms of chip formation, tool wear, and process stability.
At Mustad Belgium, we have proactively developed and optimized our manufacturing processes to address these challenges. Through adapted machining strategies, tooling solutions, and process control, we have successfully integrated lead-free brass into our production environment while maintaining the high quality standards our customers expect.
As a result, the transition to lead-free brass has only a minimal impact on our current manufacturing methods and allows us to keep any cost implications as low as possible.
Quality is at the core of everything we do at Mustad Belgium.
As a trusted supplier to defense OEMs, prime contractors and demanding industrial customers, we understand that quality, consistency, traceability and reliability are non-negotiable. These principles are embedded in our culture and reflected in every stage of our manufacturing process.

Mustad Belgium has been certified to ISO 9001:2015 [BQA_QMS_C_1993029] since 1996, demonstrating our long-standing commitment to quality management, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
As part of our long-term growth strategy, we are currently evaluating the implementation roadmap for EN 9100:2018 certification. This initiative will further strengthen our position as a reliable manufacturing partner for the defense, aerospace and high-tech industries.
Our objective is simple: to deliver precision-machined components that consistently meet the highest quality standards and exceed our customers' expectations.
